The author takes home what is probably a pretty decent paycheck exploiting women. This short story entry has the usual padding of sex and nightmares. It also has a huge plot hole. The author has the ability to string words together in an entertaining fashion. However, the author lacks both the imagination and the technical background to write a novel set even forty years in the future. What any reader will note is that the protagonist had no surveillance on either his home or his office. Major plot hole for forty years in the future knowing that it's available now. Considering what he had to hide it does seem likely he would want to be alerted if his home office were breached. I like a good fantasy. Sadly this isn't. Not looking for logic or the obvious and satisfied with the mediocre; then this is your series. Peabody made detective!!! WTG Peabody. I luv the character of Peabody. The way she's grown and matured in the time she's been with Dallas! She was still part free-ager young girl when Eve took her on as her aide and now she's a woman. She's cohabiting with the silly dresser McNab and a Detective. Sure she still cries sometimes and gets the normal girl woes but she is cop through and through. They're hunting a dangerous criminal who is imitating famous serial killers. First Jack the Ripper and then others to pit himself against Dallas but as always she will get him in the end. Great mystery storyline. Will it be the author who writes about serial killers, the musical star, the aide to the British representative to the UN or the husband of the stage star who is one of Roarke 's past luver? To find the answer read this the 17th In Death book. Highly recommended.
